Content and activities focus on principles of backward design and evidence-based instructional delivery strategies in clinical learning experiences

Throughout this course, participants will develop and refine their scholarly and academic writing skills. Whether you are new to writing or have already published in a journal, you will explore your role as a scholar and your contribution to your discipline through dissemination of your work. This course is based on a supportive learning community in which each participant will take responsibility for their own development as scientific writers. You will conceptualize, outline, draft, and revise the information you want to communicate to our audience in the format that you choose. You will strengthen your writing through giving, receiving, and applying feedback from multiple sources and diverse points of view.

Introduction to Professional Nursing Practice engages the student in an exploration of personal and professional topics related to professional identity and professionalism in nursing. Students will focus on topics including professional role development, nursing ethics, quality and safety, cultural sensitivity, interprofessional collaboration, communication, leadership, and professional development. This course is intended for nursing students at the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy (KSMA) in Bishkek, Kyrygzstan, and contains content in both English and Russian languages.
